How we build it
Accessibility
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to browse and order from stripteasejerky.com, however they use the web.
The standard we build to
This site is built and tested against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, working toward 2.2 AA. That's the standard most commonly referenced for web accessibility.
What that means in practice
- Semantic HTML with proper page structure and landmarks
- Every meaningful image carries descriptive alt text
- The whole site is usable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link
- Every color pairing is computed against the AA thresholds, on both our dark and light backgrounds, and anything that misses is changed rather than excused
- Form fields have real labels, and errors explain how to fix them
- Touch targets are large enough to hit on a phone
- Motion is reduced for visitors whose devices ask for it
- The site works at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling
We don't use an accessibility overlay widget. Overlays don't reliably fix underlying problems and can make things harder for screen-reader users. We fix the code instead.
Where we're not perfect
Accessibility is ongoing, not a finish line. Content changes can introduce new issues, and some third-party components, including payment checkout and embedded forms, are outside our direct control. We re-check as the site changes.
Tell us if something isn't working
